Gooseberry Restaurant is looking for a Cook to join our team in Uluwatu.

Qualifications:

• High school education, formal culinary training, or an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
• Minimum 2–4 years of cooking experience in a fine dining environment
• Previous experience in a culinary leadership role is preferred
• Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen staff, and dining room employees
• Possess a Safe Food Handling Certification
• Able to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods and work long hours in hot conditions
• Able to calculate figures and perform basic mathematical functions required for business operations
• Hardworking, loyal, and committed to maintaining food cost standards

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily food preparation and assigned kitchen duties according to restaurant standards
• Follow and implement instructions from immediate supervisors to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Coordinate daily tasks and kitchen activities with the Junior Sous Chef
• Supervise and guide 2nd Cooks and 3rd Cooks to ensure duties are completed properly
• Estimate daily production requirements based on operational needs
• Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure consistency
• Maintain proper food handling, hygiene, and safety standards
• Support effective food cost control and minimize unnecessary waste
