D&A Syrowatka is hiring a catering assistant

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented candidate with experience in catering, events, banquets, or professional kitchen operations. This is a non-leadership position suited to candidates who enjoy hands-on operational work and supporting the team during events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in catering, events, banquet, or professional kitchen operations.
• Experience assisting with private dinners, weddings, corporate events, and large functions is preferred.
• Able to assist with food preparation, event setup, service, and event breakdown.
• Familiar with high-volume food production and event preparation.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours.
• Comfortable working as part of an operational team rather than in a leadership role.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a busy event environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and production for catering and events.
• Support event setup, including food stations, equipment, and service areas.
• Assist with food and beverage service during private dinners, weddings, corporate events, and other functions.
• Ensure food is handled, presented, and served according to established standards.
• Assist with event breakdown and cleaning after service.
• Support high-volume kitchen and event operations as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of work areas.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, service, and event teams to ensure smooth operations.
